Aqualyx® is a treatment often used on the chin, arms, thighs, stomach, back, or buttocks. The treatment is a solution of synthetic Deoxycholic acid (a substance that naturally occurs in the body with the purpose of breaking down fat) that is injected into target areas to dissolve the fat, which is then naturally expelled from the body over the coming weeks.
Because the solution injected is already naturally occurring within our bodies, it’s considered to be a process that builds on your body’s own processes to achieve targeted fat loss. Generally, Aqualyx is not regarded to be a fat loss treatment but rather a cosmetic treatment that removes stubborn fat on already healthy patients.
